Roewe 750 is the first comprehensive replacement at the end of the year to adopt a new platform
Currently, the Roewe 750 uses the platform used by the Rover 75, and the replacement Roewe 750 will use the brand-new BP31 platform. This platform is built by SAIC-GM Pan Asia Design Center, and its technology is derived from the Epsilon II platform of GM. This is also the platform for the new Regal and the new LaCrosse. According to reports, in addition to platform updates, the new Roewe 750 will also be improved in tuning. Due to the adoption of a common platform, its appearance will change the British toughness of the current Roewe 750. From the exposed renderings, it can be seen that it uses a convex arc waistline, its traditional headlights are replaced with diamond shapes, and the air intake grille has changed a lot, from a large-mouth mesh air intake grille to a multi-width grille A chrome grille, similar to that of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The flat taillights at the rear are integrated with the banner on the license plate frame, which is full of dynamics, and the ground clearance is increased, which improves the departure angle. In terms of power, it has not been finalized yet, but it is expected to use GM ECOTEC engines, 2.0L and 2.4L will appear on mainstream models, 3.0L engines will be used on flagship models, and the gearbox will also use GM technology provided. Analysts pointed out that SAIC's current 1.8T and 2.5L engines can no longer meet the needs of the new generation of models, and the NSE project of the Nanjing plant is limited to small displacement engines.
